you mean psi? like in a turbo or supercharger? it depends on your car. and its not a straight line..

like, for instance...IF 1 psi = 1 hp, 2 psi does not necessarily = 2 hp

no he means PS. instead of using horsepower as a measurement of power in an engine the japanese use PS which a different measurement. i think 1 HP = .9xx PS

Thx for the info Kim No soup for the rest of you

Reason I asked is because the blitz supercharger for the GT is making 172ps at the crank, which is approximately 191HP. I hope they can get it over 200hp after they're done tuning it

172 PS would be 169.6 BHP since 1 HP equals 1.0139 PS. So to get PS from HP you would multiply the HP by 1.0139. Solving for HP, you divide the PS by 1.0139.

well, if u listen to kim's conversion: 1hp actually equals .9ps. that means ps is greater than hp, so for instance, if you had 10ps, the horsepower # will be greater than 10.

You've got it backwards. 1 PS equals 0.986 HP. 1 HP equals 1.0139 PS.

And just for everyone's info, PS stands for Pferdestarke.
